How would you feel if that was your beloved pet?????

This is Bailey... A 12 year old American Staffordshire Terrier.... Bailey was a loving family pet... Loyal and caring.... His only problem, he didn't like aggressive dogs... On february 9th 2009 Bailey was released to the Halifax Metro SPCA by a relative of the dogs owner.... When the owner returned after being away the dog was gone and the relative said she gave him to the SPCA....... After harassing the SPCA for 3 1/2 months Bailey's owner finally got the information she was looking for.... The SPCA did nothing to search for his owner and had deemed him too aggressive and euthanized him February 13th 2009..... Animals have rights, and Baileys was taken from him... His owners had him since he was 6 weeks old... 11 1/2 years later he was ripped from them and euthanized... This could be your pet next.. Fight for what is right.... Bailey may be gone but forever in their hearts... Let's stop this non-sense before you animals are next!!!!!

Christine Shaw is a young woman from Halifax. In a sad turn of events, the person caring for her dog Bailey in her absence decided they didn’t want to do it anymore. They took his tags off and turned him into the SPCA as a stray. When Christine returned home a few weeks ago, she frantically searched for her dog. The Metro Shelter said they knew nothing. She was persistent, however, and eventually they admitted he was there, but claimed they didn’t know what happened to him. In the meantime she began planning a protest rally for Bailey on May 20.

Yesterday the SPCA finally told Christine the whole truth: they indeed had taken Bailey, then put him down three days later, long before she got back to Nova Scotia. Now she says she is determined to fight for Brindi and wants to dedicate her rally to Brindi.

Is this something Humane Halifax can organize with her? I hope so!!
